wow what a game 2 it was,Cam Trigger had a massive impact,Lukey Martin was awesome as well.

Should make for a massive final game 3 it will be hard to win in Perth but Hawks have come this far.

can't beleive i saw Davidson shove a wildcat (think it was Redhage) and nothing was called. That pretty much set the tone for the game. Seeing Galen Young abused like a rag-doll in the post just continued the physcality the Hawks were dishing out.

Perth couldn't match it. Probably because they thought it was against the rules. Who knows how game 3 will be called.

i think that that was a tactic that was wisely used,Wortho and the Tigers also did this against the Breakers.

It took Redhage out of the game,it isn't against the rules to push someone or rough em up,they can give a warning or a foul but if it takes em out of the game in anyway its worth it.

Young got treatment under the basket their was one foul that was missed but the other 2 he traveled before the foul.
He travels a heap that guy,he had 4 turnovers in 2 mins in the semi..

If you play Power forward like i do you know how rough it is under the hoop, the weak get taken out quickly.

sometimes its too rough i agree.

Im not saying there was no home calls in the game but the Hawks didn't win from the refs they had a better game plan, also that last quarter was pretty good.

It is a foul to push somebody South01, if you think its not then you must not be watching the correct sport.

The game was shit, and when I got home from Wollongong last night I watched it again on Fox to see how the viewers at home seen it. Shocking calls for the Hawks to come out and play "physical style basketball" yet only pick up 11 fouls for the night as opposed to the Cats picking up 21.

For all of you people who claim that Perth fans are feral and we take it too far, then your all joking yourself if you dont put Hawks fans a notch higher. Cats fans never attack another teams fans, we will heckle your team and do what we can to throw them off their game, but the type of treatment we recieved from Hawks fans was an absolute joke.

200 Perth fans at that game, we were split up in to a couple of sections, we had a little boy who would have been maybe 9 or 10 years old who was hit by someone and had his Wildcats poster taken off him, we had guys in their 40's standing in front us at the stands with 5 minutes to go telling us to "f*ck off back to Perth" and that "we are f*ucken pathetic". When you have kids, older ladies, young girls with you it becomes very unsettling and I am glad that nobody got seriously hurt because it almost did. We had no security help us, we had to stay together while the Hawks fans piled out so we could wait for security to come help us but they never did. We ended up sticking together to make it out the stadium and a guy then shoved one of our fans and it all boiled over from there causing one of the Hawks fans to being arrested. Very disgusted in the fans!

Game 3 is going to be great, Hawks have been allocated 150 seats so we will see how many of them turn up... was funny the fans actually celebrated like they had won the championship, we got on the bus making our way through the bogan comments, the swearing and abuse we were copping and I cannot wait for game 3 to arrive!

its not a foul to push someone off the play when they were pushing and bumping each other.
(the ball was outta bounds anyway)
if he has the ball or is trying to rebound its a foul,if you take a player out of the game in a contest its a foul, you must be watching the wrong game...

South you cannot push a player... you can body for position on the court (ie: the low block on the post) but you cannot push someone. Stop trying to defend the fact that Hawks went out and played physical basketball for 40 minutes yet only managed to get pinged for 11 fouls. At least when the Cats play physical we still rack up 20 fouls because of it.

the ball was outta bounds,Redhage ran into Davidson and Davidson pushed him ,the ref warned them to calm down, they pushed each other many times in the game,if it is not in the direct play its usually let go,unless its juniors.

Incorrect South, game 1 of the semi finals a transition play broke out for Gold Coast, Redhage went to make his way down court behind play and Vukona pushed him to the floor costing the Blaze an intentional foul. I repeat you cannot push players in the NBL or any basketball league.

I know the incident you are referring too it happened along the baseline after a score was made, Redhage turned around to make his way up the court and knocked into Davidson who then pushed him over. The reason why this was not given a foul is because it occured on a inbounds play, the warning was given to both of them and if it happened again a foul (technical) would have been handed out.

IF a push like that occured whilst the ball was in play then it would have been picked up and the player (in this case Davidson) would have been given a foul... same as if Shawn pushed Davidson he would have been pinged for it.

that's what i been saying lol
it wasn't involved in the play so its not a foul..

also the difference is Redhage took a dive and the Gold Coast game he didn't flop.

You might need to be a little more clear with how you say it then.

And the difference is not that Redhage "took a flop" the difference is what we have been talking about (though you not clearly stating it) and that is that the ball was not inbounds at the time so all that is issued is a warning. If it was a foul would have been called... hang on it was in Wollongong so who knows about that part.

Tickets to game 3 sold out in a matter of minutes, im stuck in 2 minds as to whether I want to be kind to the Hawks fans or give them what they gave us!

Hey the game is a full sell out its top news :)

Be kind to the Hawks fans and a good ambassador of your club but if they fire up at you it deserves a reaction,im sure it was just a small % of the idiot crowd in Wollongong.

Yeah I know, walking out of the stadium I had 1 guy come up and apologise to me and told me he thinks Cats will win on Friday, real top bloke but before I knew it I was copping it from more Hawks fans... the security is what I didnt like, nobody helped us get out the stadium safely.

Out of 5000 Hawks fan only bout 50 of them were idiots... I will behave Friday and be a good ambassador for the Cats!

Yeah but it was being played in Wollongong and it was a Wollongong player who shoved a Cats player, so he got let off with a warning then a slight wink from the referee issued towards Davidson to say "I will give u 10 more warnings tonight" ;) Posted Image

Wanna see the cats move the ball around a lot more than game 2. Too often they settled for the tough shot after the first pass. Gotta work the Hawks around a bit, if not it makes it too easy for the hawks to defend.

Going by the articles in the west , tonight is gonna get physical and heated like never before. I mean literally with 39 degree day today and bloody muggy right now.

Im Amped.

Lets go Wildcats.

Great first half

I actually think the Hawks are playing better, their only weakness and been on the boards. They have given up to many second chance points to the Wildcats by allowing them on the offensive boards.

The Hawks offense is flowing on from Game 2 and I'm not sure the Wildcats have a way to shut it down. The Wildcats do have the better talent, but from what I am seeing the Hawks look a 50/50 chance of taking this out. Then again Redhage and Lisch could come out and do anything, maybe even Cattalini in his last game?
