The owner of the Sydney Spirit team, Greg Evans, has told the NBL he is planning to put the team into administration this week, after only 10 rounds this season.

BA says it is in discussion with potential buyers of the team.

But its interim chief executive Scott Derwin says he does not know if the Spirit will even play its next home game.

“Sydney Spirit have a home game on Saturday night here in Sydney,” he said.

“We’re trying to resolve it today, worst case tomorrow, to determine if the game will go ahead.”
